Day 4:- Cusco / Machu Picchu - Inca Trail (Cusco - Piscacucho Km. 82 -Wayllabamba)
At approximately 6:30 a.m., your guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you by bus to Km 82, arriving around 10:30 a.m. Here, you’ll meet the trekking team who will accompany you on the journey, including porters, camp assistants, and cooks.
Your trek begins from this point. The first day is considered relatively easy. As you cover the initial kilometers, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the snow-capped Veronica Mountain, walking alongside the Vilcanota River. Along the way, you’ll visit the Archaeological Complex of Patallacta, where you’ll stop for lunch and take time to recover your energy.
The day ends as you reach Huayllabamba, where your first campsite will be set up for the night.
Day 5:- Inca Trail (Wayllabamba - Warmiwañusca - Pacaymayo)
After breakfast, you’ll begin the most challenging section of the Inca Trail. A steep ascent awaits, requiring approximately 3 hours of continuous trekking to reach the highest point of the trail: the Warmiwañusca Pass, also known as the “Dead Woman’s Pass”, located at an impressive 4,200 meters above sea level (13,779 ft.).
From the summit, you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Andean landscape, and experience the satisfaction of having conquered the trail’s most demanding climb.
After a well-deserved rest, you’ll descend to Vizcachayoc, where lunch will be served. The trek then continues downhill to Pacaymayo Camp (3,500 m / 11,482 ft), where you’ll have dinner and spend the night.
Day 6:- Inca Trail (Pacaymayo - Phuyupatamarca - Wiñayhuayna)
After breakfast, the ascent begins toward the second most important pass of the Inca Trail, located at 3,900 meters above sea level (12,795 ft.). Along the way, you’ll enjoy a guided visit to the Runkurakay Archaeological Complex, an ancient Inca site believed to have served as a resting and ceremonial place for travelers.
Continuing the trek, you’ll reach the Inca citadel of Sayacmarca (3,600 m / 11,811 ft.), where your guide will explain its unique architecture and historical significance.
Afterward, you’ll stop for lunch at Chaquicocha before continuing the hike through lush Andean cloud forest. You’ll pass by Phuyupatamarca, known as the “Town in the Clouds”, one of the most well-preserved Inca sites, where you’ll have a brief stop to appreciate the views and structures.
The trail then leads to Wiñayhuayna (“Forever Young”), a stunning archaeological site perched on the mountainside. Here, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of this impressive site before having dinner and spending the night at the campsite.
Day 7:- Wiñayhuayna - Machu Picchu - Cusco
After an early breakfast around 5:00 a.m., you’ll begin your final day of trekking with a one-hour walk through the cloud forest, leading to the iconic Inti Punku (Sun Gate) — the original entrance to Machu Picchu during Inca times. From this vantage point, you’ll enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the majestic citadel bathed in the morning light.
Upon arrival at Machu Picchu, you’ll embark on a guided tour of approximately two hours, during which your guide will explain the history and significance of the site. You’ll visit the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, and other important structures within the citadel.
After the tour, you’ll have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own before meeting the rest of your group for the bus transfer down to Aguas Calientes.
In the afternoon, you’ll board the train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by a private transfer to your hotel in Cusco.

Safari8002502024-05-04Verificada The magical trip of my life I met Cusco Wonder travel through Facebook. Rubén called me and gave me the best explanations to clear up my doubts. He is very friendly and super reliable, all the reservations I made from Argentina were fulfilled. I dreamed of Machu Picchu, and this tourism agency made it come true and at the best price. Consider that I was traveling alone to an unknown country. They went to pick me up at the bus station, they gave me the bus and train tickets to get to Aguas Calientes. They accompanied me to get the ticket and to the accommodation. The next day we left with our guide towards the fabulous ruins. The explanation was brilliant and entertaining. At the height of that unique moment in the life of each of the passengers. I visited Puente del Inca and I was looking forward to returning to do the Inca Trail with them, which takes 4 days with everything included. I recommend them, they are the best. They took care of all the details so that I could fully enjoy it. Don't hesitate to hire them. Juana B2024-05-03Verificada Spectacular!!!!
