ITINERARY

Day 1:- International Arrival in Lima

Upon your arrival at Lima International Airport, our team will be waiting to assist you and provide a comfortable transfer to your hotel. Once at the hotel, you’ll receive a detailed briefing regarding your upcoming tour, along with vouchers for all included services and any additional information necessary to ensure the smooth organization of your journey throughout Peru.

Day 2:- Lima: City Tour & Larco Herrera Museum

The morning is free for you to rest and acclimate after your international trip. We recommend taking this time to relax and prepare for your journey through Peru. Lunch will be on your own.

In the afternoon, we will begin a guided sightseeing tour of Lima, the historic “City of Kings.” This tour covers the most attractive and significant landmarks, including:

  • Lima’s Historical Centre, featuring:

  • Plaza San Martín
  • Plaza Mayor
  • Government Palace
  • City Hall
  • Lima Cathedral and its Religious Art Museum
  • Church of Santo Domingo, housing the tombs of Santa Rosa and San Martín de Porres
  • The city’s famous Colonial Balconies

We’ll continue with a visit to the Convent and Church of San Francisco, the largest monumental complex of Colonial Art in America and a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site. Highlights include:

  • The Basilica with 21 altars
  • Cloisters and Convent rooms
  • A museum with 11 paintings from the Rubens School
  • The Sacristy displaying works by Zurbarán and Ribera
  • The famous underground catacombs
  • Seville-tiled patios and Moorish-style arches

Next, we visit the Larco Herrera Museum, which houses the country’s finest private collection of pre-Columbian art, including:

  • Exceptional textile works
  • Ceramics and metal pieces
  • Pre-Inca and Inca pottery
  • Gold and silver artifacts adorned with semi-precious stones

To finish, we’ll tour the modern districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, passing:

  • Huaca Pucllana, an ancient ceremonial center
  • El Olivar Park, with its centuries-old olive trees
  • Central Park of Miraflores
  • Larcomar, a modern commercial complex offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean

Return to your hotel for overnight.

Day3:- Lima / Arequipa: City Tour and Countryside

Breakfast at the hotel.
At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport for your flight to Arequipa. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in.

Lunch on your own.

In the afternoon, we begin a guided sightseeing tour of Arequipa, known as the “White City” due to its colonial buildings constructed from white volcanic stone. Highlights include:

  • Plaza de Armas, considered one of the most beautiful main squares in Peru.
  • Arequipa Cathedral, an outstanding example of 19th-century Peruvian architecture, featuring precious gold and silver treasures.
  • La Compañía Church, a historic Jesuit temple with its intricately carved stone façade, blending European and Andean elements—note the angels with indigenous faces and feathered crowns.

Next, we visit the impressive Santa Catalina Convent, a small walled city within the city. Built in the 16th century and opened to the public in 1970, it has been perfectly preserved. Inside, you’ll explore its patios, gardens, kitchens, washing areas, and various cloisters that offer a glimpse of life in colonial Arequipa.

We’ll then head out to the Arequipa countryside, visiting:

  • Sabandía Mill, a functional 17th-century flour mill powered by a waterfall.
  • The Founder’s Mansion, a restored 16th-century hacienda that once belonged to Arequipa’s founder, later owned by Jesuits and subsequently by the Goyeneche family. The mansion and its private chapel reflect the region’s colonial history.

Optional: Possibility of extending your stay to visit the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world.

Return to your hotel for overnight.

Day 4:- Arequipa /Juliaca / Puno: Sillustani en route

Breakfast at the hotel.
At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Juliaca. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by our representative and begin your transfer to the city of Puno.

En route, we’ll visit the impressive Chullpas of Sillustani, ancient stone funerary towers built by the Aymara people to honor their important leaders. These cylindrical structures stand majestically above Lake Umayo, providing a stunning backdrop and an excellent opportunity to appreciate both the archaeological significance and the natural beauty of the area. You may also observe a variety of typical high-Andean birds in their natural habitat.

Arrival in Puno and overnight at your selected hotel.

Day 5:- Puno: Uros and Taquile Islands

Early in the morning, we’ll begin a motorboat excursion on the shimmering waters of Lake Titicaca to visit the remarkable Floating Islands of the Uros. Known as the “Water Tribe”, the Uros people have created their unique floating islands using layers of totora reeds, a native plant of the lake. These reeds are used not only for constructing their islands but also for their homes and boats. During your visit, you’ll learn about their traditional way of life, deeply connected to the lake’s ecosystem.

We’ll continue our journey by boat to Taquile Island, home to Quechua-speaking inhabitants renowned for their intricate hand-woven textiles, recognized as part of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. On arrival, we’ll enjoy a traditional lunch prepared by the locals, followed by a gentle hike to explore the island’s rolling hills, quaint villages, and archaeological remains.

In the afternoon, return by boat to Puno and transfer to your hotel.

Overnight in Puno.

Day 6:- Puno / Cusco

Breakfast at the hotel.
Early morning, we’ll depart by tourist bus toward the historical city of Cusco, crossing the impressive landscapes of the Collao High Plateau.

Our first stop will be in the town of Ayaviri, renowned for its livestock and textiles. Here, we’ll visit the Temple of Kalasaya, an important archaeological site from the ancient Pucara Culture.

Continuing the journey, we’ll stop at Raqchi, home to the spectacular Inca Sanctuary of Wiracocha, built by the Inca Pachacutec. You’ll explore the massive central wall, crafted in fine Inca stonework and topped with giant adobe bricks, as well as circular columns and the surrounding structures that once served as residences and storehouses.

About 70 km further, we’ll pass La Raya Ranch, where you’ll spot herds of vicuñas and llamas roaming the Andean plains. Along the route, you’ll also enjoy breathtaking views of Wacarpay Lake, reflecting the surrounding mountains on its calm waters.

Next, we’ll visit the charming Andean town of Andahuaylillas, home to the Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas, often called the Sistine Chapel of the Americas for its richly decorated interior and stunning polychrome ceiling.

We’ll enjoy a buffet lunch in a peaceful countryside restaurant, sampling the regional flavors.

In the late afternoon, arrival in Cusco and transfer to your selected hotel.

Day 7:- Cusco: City Tour and Nearby Ruins

Morning at leisure to relax or explore Cusco at your own pace. Lunch on your own.

In the afternoon, we’ll begin a guided sightseeing tour of Cusco, visiting the Main Square, the impressive Cathedral, and the Temple of the Sun known as Korikancha, one of the most important religious centers of the Inca Empire.

We’ll then leave the city to explore nearby archaeological sites, including:

  • Kenko, with its ceremonial carvings.
  • Tambomachay, known as the Inca Baths.
  • Puca Pucara, a small fortress with panoramic views.
  • The imposing Sacsayhuaman Fortress, built strategically on a hill overlooking Cusco, renowned for its enormous stones, some over 9 meters (30 feet) tall and weighing over 350 tons.

After the tour, return to your hotel to freshen up.

In the evening, enjoy a typical Andean dinner with folklore show. Live musicians will perform traditional melodies on native instruments while dancers in colorful attire present various ancient Peruvian dances, offering you an authentic cultural experience.

Day 8:- Cusco: The Sacred Valley of the Incas

Today, we’ll enjoy a full-day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, following the path of the Vilcanota River. Our first stop will be at the picturesque town of Pisaq, where you’ll visit its typical Indian market—held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays—offering a colorful display of local handicrafts, textiles, and fresh produce. Here, you’ll have the chance to interact with local artisans, observe their traditions, and practice your bargaining skills.

Lunch will be served at a countryside restaurant, where you’ll savor typical Andean dishes in a relaxed setting.

In the afternoon, the tour continues through the towns of Calca and Urubamba to reach the impressive Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo. This ancient site, built to defend the Sacred Valley from invaders, is a stunning example of Inca military, religious, and agricultural architecture. You’ll walk through its narrow streets and terraces, experiencing the atmosphere of this living Inca town.

In the late afternoon, we’ll return to Cusco, where you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.

Evening at leisure—we recommend taking a relaxing stroll around Cusco’s Main Square and enjoying a refreshing Pisco Sour at one of the many cozy pubs nearby.

Day 9:- Cusco / Aguas Calientes / Cusco: Machu Picchu

Breakfast at the hotel.

At the scheduled time, you’ll be transferred to the Cusco train station to board the train for a scenic 3.5-hour journey to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to the renowned Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as “The Lost City of the Incas”.

Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes Station, you’ll board a bus for a 30-minute ascent along a winding road to reach the majestic Machu Picchu. Once inside the site, your professional guide will lead you on a comprehensive tour of the citadel, exploring its Main Plaza, Circular Tower, Sacred Sun Dial, Royal Quarters, Temple of the Three Windows, and other significant structures, including its mysterious burial grounds. The tour will help you uncover the history, architecture, and cultural importance of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After the guided visit, you’ll have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own, take photos, or simply enjoy the stunning panoramic views.

Following your visit, you’ll return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where a delicious lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, you’ll board the train back to Cusco, followed by a transfer to your hotel.

Day 10:- Cusco/ Puerto Maldonado / Lago Sandoval Lake

Early morning excursion to the lake, where you’ll have the chance to observe a variety of bird species searching for food. With a bit of luck, you may also spot the elusive and endangered Giant River Otters as they feed in their natural habitat.

Return to the lodge for breakfast.

Afterwards, you’ll have the opportunity to observe the local process of harvesting Brazil nuts, an important economic activity for the communities of the Amazon. See firsthand how locals gather, open, and prepare these nuts for sale.

Lunch at the lodge, followed by free time to rest.

In the afternoon, we’ll explore the eastern part of the lake, where you may encounter some of the five species of monkeys native to this area – including the energetic Capuchin monkeys.

Return to the lodge for dinner.

In the evening, you’ll have the option to either:

  • Take a night boat ride on the lake in search of Black Caymans, or

  • Enjoy a night walk through the primary forest, a unique experience to observe nocturnal wildlife.

Day 12:- Tambopata: Lago Sandoval Lake

In the morning, we’ll board the catamaran to cross the lake, followed by a short walk through the forest in search of vibrant parrots and macaws in their natural environment.

Afterwards, we’ll cross the lake again to explore a primary forest trail, where you’ll have the chance to admire the towering trees of the Amazon rainforest.

Return to the lodge for lunch.

The afternoon is free to rest, or if you wish, you may choose to explore additional forest trails around the lodge.

Later, we’ll board the catamaran once more to explore the eastern side of the lake, enjoying a spectacular sunset over the rainforest.

After dinner, you’ll have a final opportunity to take a night excursion in search of the elusive Black Cayman on the lake.

Day 13:- Tambopata / Lima

Morning: After breakfast, we’ll board the catamaran to cross the lake, followed by a short guided walk through the rainforest in search of colorful parrots and macaws.

Next, we’ll recross the lake to explore a primary forest trail, where you’ll admire the towering trees and lush vegetation unique to the Amazon Rainforest.

Return to the lodge for lunch.

Afternoon: Free time to relax, or for those who wish, the option to explore additional forest trails near the lodge.

Later, we’ll board the catamaran once again to explore the eastern side of the lake and enjoy a breathtaking sunset.

Evening: After dinner, we’ll have a final opportunity to embark on a night excursion to spot the elusive Black Caiman in its natural habitat.

Day 14:- Lima - International Departure

Breakfast at the lodge.
At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport to board your international departure flight.
