Day1:- Cusco – City Tour & 4 Ruins

Assistance upon arrival in Cusco and transfer to your hotel.
Free time to rest and acclimatize to the altitude.

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided city tour of Cusco, visiting the Main Square, the Cathedral, and the Temple of the Sun (Korikancha). Take a pleasant walk through the bohemian district of San Blas, home to Cusco’s most renowned craftsmen. Visit its charming church, which houses an impressive pulpit—a fine example of intricate woodcarving adorned with regional motifs—and explore some artisan workshops located around its small main square.

On the way back, stroll along Hatunrumiyoc Street, where you can admire the famous Twelve-Angled Stone, a marvel of Inca stonework.

Next, drive outside the city to visit the impressive Inca archaeological sites of Qenqo, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara, and the remarkable fortress of Sacsayhuaman, strategically built on a hill overlooking Cusco. This site is famous for its massive stone walls, some of which stand over 9 meters (30 feet) tall and weigh more than 350 tons, all seamlessly fitted together with incredible precision.

Return to your hotel.
Evening at leisure.

Day 2:- Sacred Valley of the Incas

Excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a scenic route dotted with picturesque villages, agricultural terraces, and impressive archaeological sites. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, enjoy the lively atmosphere of the Pisac Indian Market, where you can bargain with local vendors or simply stroll among colorful stalls offering handicrafts, textiles, and souvenirs. On Sundays, experience a unique Catholic mass held in Quechua, the native language of the Andes.

Lunch at a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley.

In the afternoon, continue past the towns of Calca and Urubamba to reach the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this strategic part of the valley and protect it from invaders from the lower jungle. Explore its impressive terraces, built with finely carved stones, accessible via steep staircases. Walk through the charming streets of the nearby town, which served as a military, religious, and agricultural center during the Inca Empire, providing insights into Inca urban planning and defensive strategies.

On the return journey to Cusco, visit the picturesque Andean village of Chinchero, where the remains of Tupac Inca Yupanqui’s royal estate are located. Admire the well-preserved Inca walls in the main square and visit the beautiful colonial church, built atop Inca foundations, featuring fascinating frescoes on its entrance.

Return to Cusco in the late afternoon.

The day begins with an early morning transfer to Cusco train station for a scenic four-hour train journey to the world-famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as the “Lost City of the Incas.” Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes Station, board a 30-minute bus ride that ascends 6 km along a winding road to reach this iconic archaeological wonder.

Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour of Machu Picchu, exploring key areas of the citadel, including the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, and several ancient burial sites.
